Knitting Chair, Limited Edition
The Knitting Chair by Ib Kofod-Larsen, first launched as a limited edition in 1951, makes a triumphant return to the world of modern Danish design under MENU’s concept of “Modernism Reimagined”. The chair’s sense of proportion and unparalleled quality makes it a natural choice to bring into contemporary interiors.
Named for the elbow cut-outs that allow maximum comfort while knitting (or reading), the chair is clearly the work of a master designer. Danish architect and designer Ib Kofod-Larsen’s design goes hand-in-hand with the MENU ethos: it is innovative, beautiful, functional, and timeless. The Knitting Chair’s curved conical back and comfortable seating allow it to fit into a number of spaces, including a living room, bedroom, library, or lobby. The sitter feels instantly calm, while also enjoying the sensual pleasure of soft upholstery and smooth, sturdy wood. With the relaunch of the Knitting Chair, MENU pays respect to Scandinavian design history while the chair also benefits from its new place among our modern silhouettes.
